Selene Castrovilla’s contemporary teen fiction is “intense, gritty, lyrical, romantic, hopeful and powerful at the same time.” She has won numerous awards and accolades, including six honors for Melt, Book One of the Rough Romance Trilogy. A reviewer wrote, “Melt…reminded me of why I love to read. My heart was literally pounding…I couldn’t put it down.” Signs of Life, Book Two, has been called “a literary masterpiece.” Unpunished, the shocking conclusion, releases later this year!
When she isn’t writing, Selene is spending time with her two sons and too many cats on Long Island, or visiting fans across the country. She loves purple, Shakespeare, kindness and sock monkeys. Her guilty pleasure is blasting the High School Musical soundtrack in her car and singing along. She loathes her airbrushed headshot, but hates the idea of posing for a new one even more.
Selene holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. Jacqueline Woodson, her teacher, calls Selene “a writer to watch.”
